I've downloaded the ducttape mod and noticed that the .pk4 file is called pak005.pk4. Well the Doom 3 base folder already has a file of that name so when you copy it into the base directory you get the warning that you're going to overwrite a file. Luckily I kept a back up of the original file incase of any problems.

After I copied the new .pk4 file into the base directory the ducttape mod works a treat, the only problem is I can't access multiplayer as it says there's a file missing. The only way round this i've found is to replace the original .pk4 file.

Any workarounds people? Can I rename the new .pk4 file to something like pak009.pk4, and if I did would it still work.?

open up the original pk4 file with a zip program and just drop the contents of the mods pk4 file in

see if that works
