andyburns 812 days ago | The WIDCOMM BT stack creates ports starting at COM12: but mehere only goes up to COM8:

andyburns 811 days ago | OK,
I found about using "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlCOM Name Arbiter" to assign my own COM port numbers :-)

bglenden 808 days ago | I have the same problem - could you be a bit more explicit about the procedure? Thanks! -

cadill 492 days ago | Yes, I have the same problem too. My GPS is on COM9. Can you please explain how I can fix MeHere to look at COM9??? |
Bruce 478 days ago | Solution 1. try to uninstall some hardware that is using a com port then install your gps so that it becomes under COM9, reinstall other comport hardware.
I know it is a crappy way to do it but it worked for me

akaSparky 466 days ago | Alternatively you can use a program like GPSGate which uses one gps and creates several com ports that are configuable for the same reciever allowing you to run several programs simultaneously using the same reciever. It works for me. |
