I like this application a lot. Is it possible to run it ok a local machine so no internet connection is needed? I don't have any sql knowledge.

Yeah, its possible. Do you have a web server enabled? Lighttpd, Apache2? And you are going to need to install php5, mysql on your server. It takes time, but its worth it for some apps. I got drupal, trac, svn, and some Ruby On Rails applications on my home web server. Its nice.
